Provisional sums where they belong
Foundations, ground conditions, steels, trusses, glazing frames and specialist packages are allowances until confirmed — clearly labelled on the quote as provisional sums.
Markup or margin, your choice
£10,000 cost at 20% markup sells for £12,000; at 20% gross margin it sells for £12,500. Both are supported, the cost base is stated, and overheads and profit are never applied twice.
VAT resolved before anything goes out
Standard, reduced, zero or not registered. No quote leaves with VAT unresolved, and no tax treatment is inferred from a project label.
Readiness checks
Missing prices, stale prices, unreviewed assumptions, unconfirmed allowances, unset VAT: each blocks a firm quotation, none blocks a budget estimate you have chosen to send.
Immutable quote versions
Once issued, a version is frozen with its prices, rates and settings. Revisions are new versions; the old link stops accepting.
Branded PDF and secure customer page
Same immutable version, two outputs. The customer page never carries your cost rates, supplier names or margins.
Explicit sending, automatic reminders
Preview never sends. One clear action does. Reminders on your schedule, cancelled on any reply, acceptance, decline, expiry or pause; safe against retries and double-clicks.
Customer actions with a record
Ask a question, request changes, decline, accept. Acceptance records who, when, which version and which terms — and an expired or superseded version cannot be accepted.
